Phạm vi áp dụng / Scope of standard

These specifications are for the structural design of highway
sound barriers. Sound barriers may be constructed from a variety of
material, most commonly concrete, wood, steel and masonry. Emphasis
of this guide will be placed upon masonry design specifications
since an applicable section does not currently exist in the AASHTO
Specifications.
