This standard describes the matrix of dot placement and size limits for OCR-MB alphanumeric characters and symbols for optical character recognition (OCR) systems.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to establish a set of characters that can be generated by printing systems that produce characters with a matrix of dots and shall be used in optical character recognition systems.
