Scope of standard This American National Standard specifies the safety requirements for the design, implementation, set-up, operation, maintenance and modification of robot / Injection Molding Machine (IMM) systems. A robot / IMM system is comprised of a robot system(s) operating within the volume of the mold area guarding of an IMM. Exclusions A robot system which exclusively operates outside the volume of the mold area guarding of an IMM is excluded from the scope of this standard. These robot systems are addressed in ANSI/RIA R15.06. |
