Scope of standard 1.1 This specification covers “iron” wire with Class A, Class B, and Class C zinc coatings, suitable for use in telephone, telegraph, and signal transmission. 1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
