Phạm vi áp dụng Scope of standard This specification covers hot-finished alloy bars, forgings, and forging stock for high temperature service. The mechanical properties of these alloys are developed by suitable solution treating, high temperature aging, or precipitation hardening treatments. Twelve grades are covered, including two iron base, one colbalt base, one chromium, nickel, cobalt, iron alloy, four nickel base, and four of the so-called precipitation hardening stainless steels. Selection will depend upon design, service conditions, mechanical properties, and elevated temperature characteristics.
