Scope of standard 1.1 This specification defines a method for determining bat performance by measuring the coefficient of restitution (COR) of the bat-ball collision using a ball with a known COR then deriving a bat performance factor. 1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
