Scope of standard This European Standard specifies test methods to be used to assess the resistance of footwear to cutting by hand-held chain saws. Methods for other forms of foot and leg protection e.g. gaiters against hand-held chain saws will be covered in other standards. This standard only covers footwear with integral protection.
