Scope of standard This standard is applicable to electrically insulating footwear used for working live or close to live parts on installations not exceeding 1000 V a.c. This footwear, when used in conjunction with other electrically insulating personal protective equipment such as gloves, prevents dangerous current from passing through persons via their feet.
