Scope of standard This clause of Part 1 is replaced by the following. This International Standard deals with the safety of electric sauna heating appliances and infrared emitting units having a rated power input not exceeding 20 kW, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances. The appliances covered by this standard are intended for use in the home and in public saunas located in blocks of flats, hotels and similar locations.
