JISC (Ủy ban tiêu chuẩn công nghiệp Nhật Bản), Cơ quan tiêu chuẩn hóa quốc gia của Nhật Bản, đóng vai trò trung tâm trong việc phát triển các tiêu chuẩn ở Nhật Bản bao gồm một loạt các sản phẩm và công nghệ từ robot đến chữ tượng hình. JISC cũng chịu trách nhiệm về sự đóng góp ngày càng tăng của Nhật Bản trong việc thiết lập các tiêu chuẩn quốc tế thông qua công việc của mình với Tổ chức Tiêu chuẩn Quốc tế (ISO) và Ủy ban Kỹ thuật Điện Quốc tế (IEC)
